Grey Sheepskin Rug Natural Element Decoration
Grey Sheepskin Rug – Natural sheepskin rugs are very easy to care for and when they wash they can look like new again. I recently washed the two natural sheepskin rugs that I use next to our bed and they are around five years old. The magnificent creatures of sheepskin wash wool are formulated to be safe to use in both wool and leather. This is a very important point of difference as most wool washes will damage the sheepskin leather and larger sheepskins could collapse if the wrong type of soap or detergent is used.
Do not make unstable or massage the grey sheepskin rug too much throughout washing. What you want is a gentle type of water that moves through the wool to dislodge dirt grain. But not so much movement that the wool Matas from above like felt. Shake the water gently for about 3 to 5 minutes. Release the dirty water and refill the bathtub with cool warm water to rinse off the last soap and dirt.
Repeat the rinse if necessary until the water stays mostly clear. Roll the rug and squeeze as much water as possible, let it drain for about 20-25 minutes and then move it to a washing machine to spin out most of the excess water gently. To dry the grey sheepskin rug I used a clean towel to put it on (after turning the excess water) and pulled the skin so that it was horizontal.
